After seeing this little article, I decided I would make by own list;

    Vampire Weekend? Are you sure? I do like their record, but “all time great” is a bit strong.

    5. Public Enemy (if they count as a band …)

    3. patrick wolf (although he is not a band xD)

    6. blomqvist (unfortunately they haven’t succeeded in becoming famous until they parted in 2007 :( gut they are awesome!)

    maybe i could also add another two bands, to make my list consist of 10 (i really love their music, but only of their debut albums):
    kooks and the killers

    ok, in my opinion:
    (by the way, im not including the beatles because ive not heard much of their music. which is a confession and a half)

    1 the smiths
    2 the who
    3 joy divison
    4 stone roses
    5 queen
    6 the clash
    7 the prodigy
    8 the rakes
    9 kasabian
    10 madness

    but theres loads of others i wish there was room for in the top 10: glasvegas, we are scientists, the wombats, pete and the pirates etc, but theyre probably too new to call great just yet.
